entries to HMRC vial Visual Broker / Visual Exports please ensure that
you are running the very latest version of Netfreight and that you have
also upgraded your Customs Manager to version 1.9.13. Instructions on
how to complete this can be found below. This will be required in order
for you to be able to continue sending Export declarations when ECS
goes live on Wednesday 1st July 2009<br>

Customs
Manager version 1.9.13 has been released.<br>
<br>
Briefly, this update includes the required changes to Exports to enable
ECS
functionality automatically from 1st July 2009 along with updates
required
for NCTS 7.1 (although HMRC have now postponed the "go live"
date ), and various other tweaks and improvements. For a full list of
updates please see the Version Release notes from the Help Menu<o:p></o:p></p>

version release log from the HELP menu. This is automatically updated

the real-time updates so if you do not have 1.9.13 release information

<b>ECS Instructions</b></span><br>
<br>
The EAD documents introduced with ECS will require that the correct
barcode
fonts are installed on any machine that will be used for printing, ie:-
the
Visual Tasker machine (automatic prints) and any Terminal Servers or
users
individual machines for manual prints. If you are already using the
system for
NCTS transmissions these should already be installed. However, if you
do have
problems printing EAD's ie :- the barcode is missing, then after
performing a
realtime update, the fonts can be found in the IXDATA\DATA\FONTS
directory on the machine that hosts the database.<br>
<br>
To install the fonts follow the below instructions:-<br>
<br>
1) Locate your Windows\Fonts directory - on the machine that you wish
to
print from (normally c:\windows\fonts)<br>
2) Once there click on the FILE Menu<br>
3) Choose Install new font<br>
3) Navigate to your IXDATA\DATA\FONTS directory<br>
4) Highlight all the fonts shown in the list and click on install.<br>
<br>
>From the help menu within Visual Exports, under the Demos section
you
will find
a rolling demo which will walk you through the changes / new boxes
required when ECS goes live on 1st July 2009. Please make sure you
watch this
before 1st July to ensure you are familiar with the new details
required before
the system goes live. Also attached to this email is a word document
with
similar content to the rolling demo. Please feel free to distribute
this to all
those people in your organisation that may benefit from this.<br>
<br>
There is also a new EDCS receiver for those using email transmissions
to CHIEF,
particularly for NCTS transmissions. To ensure that this is updated,
after
performing a real-time update just stop and restart the EDCS Receiver
program.</p>

Please note that as of 1st July 2009 <span color:#1f497d="" ;=""
sans-serif="" ,="" calibri="" style="font-size: 11pt;">Visual Tasker
will
automatically change any print
configurations from SAD copy 3 to EADs and S0 prints will be added
based on
existing P9 print configurations.<br>
